Maurizio Sarri suffered his first defeat as Juventus coach at the hands of Lazio.

Scoreline: Lazio 3-1 Juventus
Goalscorers: Marchi, Milinkovic Savic, Caicedo | Ronaldo

The home side’s line up remained unchanged from their last victory against Udinese. Juventus made two changes with Matuidi and Dybala coming in the starting XI.

Juventus were the first one to strike with Cristiano Ronaldo on target. Bentancur sliped the ball for a pouncing Ronaldo who made no mistake before turning it into the goal.

Just before the half time, Lazio leveled the score. Luiz Alberto curled in the ball after receiving it from the corner. Alberto’s cross meets Luiz Felipe who thumped the ball in the back of the net.

At the 74th minute, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic took his side into the lead. Once again, Luiz Alberto got involved as he reached Milinkovic-Savic with a perfect through ball. The midfielder made sure to punish Juve as he scored Lazio’s second goal of the night.

More bad news came for Sarri as the match neared its end. Felipe Caicedo, after Lazazari’s effort, followed up and drilled home to ensure all three points for Lazio.

Juve have now sacrificed their position at the Serie A table to Inter. Maurizio Sarri’s men also recorded their first defeat in all competitions this season.
