The Bianconeri have reportedly already started preparing for life after the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, who could leave the club this summer.

Juventus could replace Cristiano Ronaldo with Barcelona star Antoine Griezmann, reports Spanish publication Sport.

The report suggests Griezmann has been deemed surplus to requirements at Barcelona, who seek to shake up their squad in the upcoming transfer window.

It is getting “more likely every day” for the French forward to relocate to Turin as uncertainty over Ronaldo’s future at the Allianz Stadium continues to grow.

Juventus, though, just like Barcelona, are facing the coronavirus-induced economic crisis and it’d be difficult for them to raise funds for Griezmann’s transfer. The World Cup winner, therefore, the report adds, would join the Serie A side on a one-year loan deal with Juve paying 100 percent of his wages.

It remains unclear, however, whether the former Atletico Madrid man would be open to walking out the Camp Nou exit door. He is tied to the Catalan club until June 2024, meaning he most certainly has the upper hand in any decision over his future.

Ronaldo who recently won his fifth trophy with Juventus in the shape of Coppa Italia, meanwhile, has been linked with retracing his steps to Sporting while a return to Manchester United has been also been mooted.
