Sassuolo Coach Roberto De Zerbi believes Italian Champions Juventus are “the strongest side in Europe this season” but urged his team to put in a great performance to thwart them.
Surprisingly, Sassuolo are still unbeaten in the Serie A this season after three matches and they are in second place on seven points in the table. The other unbeaten side is Juventus who have nine points from the three matches so far.
Roberto De Zerbi has acknowledged the threat Juventus pose against teams like Sassuolo and encouraged his team to show up first as they haven’t been beaten already.
Juventus host Sassuolo next weekend when the Serie A returns.
“Juventus are the strongest side in Italy and also the strongest in Europe this season,” De Zerbi told the Corriere Dello Sport, via Football Italia.
“I don’t know how you stop them. What I do know is that in order to get a positive result against Juve, you must hope they are having a bad day.
“Having said that, it doesn’t mean we are already beaten. We’ll give it our all. After all, we are in second place.”
