3. Terrible at set-pieces
Fans have taken quite a few digs at Cristiano Ronaldo’s struggles to score from a free-kick this season. He’s rarely beaten the wall this season. And when the ball has gone through, it normally ends up wide.
But that’s not even the tip of the iceberg.
Miralem Pjanic, who fans feel should be Juventus’ main free-kick taker, hasn’t scored once from set-pieces himself. Paulo Dybala, on the other hand, is faring no better when it’s his turn either.
The most alarming problem, though, is how Juventus can’t seem to defend from set-pieces at all. Whether it’s a free-kick or corner, they have been dreadful for defending. It’s something Sarri must find a solution to quickly, especially with the Champions League resuming this month.
Moreover, Juventus have only kept seven clean sheets in 25 Serie A games this season.
