Juventus ironically congratulated Cristiano Ronaldo for winning the UEFA Goal of the Season award by scoring against them
The Portuguese superstar’s stunning overhead kick in the Champions League quarter-finals for Real Madrid against his current club Juventus was voted as the UEFA Goal of the Season.
Ronaldo’s strike topped the voting poll with nearly 200,000 of the total 346,915 votes.
Who could forget that?
His incredible acrobatic effort brought the Juventus supporters to their feet in applause, which Ronaldo later claimed had a big influence on his decision to join the club this summer.
And the 33-year-old’s new side congratulated him on his goal by posting a Tweet, which fellow Serie A team AS Roma quickly commented on.
Juventus winger Federico Bernardeschi believes it would be madness if UEFA were to ban Cristiano Ronaldo for his goal celebration against Atletico Madrid.
