Check out our match preview and betting prediction of tonight’s Serie A encounter between league leaders Juventus and Lazio.

Juventus and Lazio square off in the most interesting game of the 34th Serie A round tonight at 21:45 (CET).

This is the last chance for Simone Inzaghi’s side to get back into the title race, as they trail by eight points behind the reigning champions prior to their trip to Turin.

Both teams are heading into this game in bad form, with Juve being on a three game winless run, while Lazio failed to earn the three points in their last four games in a row.

What to bet on?

Winner – Juventus

Juventus suffered defeat with the same scoreline in both meetings with Lazio this season, losing 3-1, first in Serie A back on December 07 and then in the Italian Super Cup 15 days later.

However, the Bianconeri are favorites to grab the victory in tonight’s encounter, having won in six from the last eight times they’ve hosted Lazio to the Allianz Stadium.

Maurizio Sarri’s side is the best home team in the league this season with a record of 14 wins and only two draws (including the most recent game at this venue – 2:2 with Atalanta) in the 2019-20 campaign so far.

Goals – Both teams to score

Both Juventus and Lazio found the net in the three most recent meetings between these sides in all competitions.

The Old Lady scored and conceded a goal in their last five outings in Serie A. The total number of goals scored in these games was 25, or averagely five goals per match.

Five of the seven league games Lazio has played since the return of football saw both rivals finding the net, with last week’s 0-0 draw with Udinese being the only goalless match in the process.

Goalscorer – Cristiano Ronaldo

This game will also be a direct encounter between Cristiano Ronaldo and Ciro Immobile for the Capocannoniere award.

Ronaldo is one goal adrift of Immobile on the top goalscorers table and will certainly be looking to overtake his rival in front of his own eyes this evening.

The Portuguese forward is playing in top form, as he only failed to find the net in the 3-3 draw with Sassuolo last Wednesday since the return of top-flight Italian football.
