Keita and Liverpool will not watch what City is doing

According to the Reds footballer, the team only cares about what they can do for the rest of the Premier League season.

Just two hours before Liverpool hosts Chelsea in tomorrow’s English Premier League fixture, Manchester City is set to play against Crystal Palace.

But according to Naby Keita, the Reds will not be watching the Citizens, as they are not worried about other clubs in the race for the English title.

Liverpool is currently in the first position with 82 points, two more than Manchester City, but the Citizens have played one less game.

“No, we won’t be watching Manchester City – we will just try to concentrate on our match ahead,” Keita told the club’s official website.

“We will look at the numbers at the end of the season. That’s it.”

“As the coach tells us every day, we have to concentrate on what we’re facing next, the match that is in front of us. You concentrate, you play, you try to win and we will see at the end of the season,” he added.

“Chelsea won’t be an easy match. They are a team that will be coming looking for victory at our home ground. But since we are playing at home we will have the fans there supporting us.”

“I think it is important for us, but we’ve not won the points yet, so we’ll do everything we can to try to get them on Sunday,” Keita continued.

“Of course, the fans are incredible. They help us a lot, they are always there. Even if we lose or draw, they are always there for us.”
