The Everton loanee will stay in the German Bundesliga for one year, and he hopes he can develop into a good footballer.
22-year-old Jonjoe Kenny has been loaned from English Premier League club Everton to German Bundesliga side Schalke for one year.
And the player hopes he can further develop his talents there.
“I’m delighted. I could hardly believe it when I first heard that Schalke was interested in me,” the defender told the club’s official website.
“It’s a huge club with a big history and I can’t wait to get started here.”
“To be away from home will mean that I will develop as a person as well,” he added.
“To be at such a big club like Schalke will mean that I will become a better footballer.”
The right-back explained: “The people love and breathe football here.”
“It is similar to where I come from.”
“The way [David Wagner] he gets his team to play football, I like it. It is my way of playing.”
The youngster has played on loan with Wigan Athletic and Oxford United.
He has played for all the young squads in the England national team since 2012.
