The Belgian hot-shot is on fire and set to break a few records by the end of the season even though City aren’t in a great place at the moment.

Kevin De Bruyne is quite the enigma. He might not be at his best this season (keeping in mind the crazy stats he had in the previous two campaigns), but is still on course to break a particular record that will definitely put him up there with the league’s legendary players.

The former Wolfsburg man provided the assist for Sergio Aguero’s goal in the 1-0 win over Sheffield United.

In doing so, De Bruyne registered 15 assists in the league and also became the first player to provide 15 or more assists in three different Premier League seasons.

On top of that, De Bruyne is also set to end the current season as his most prolific in England after scoring seven goals.

The Blades manager, Chris Wilder was also full of praise for the Belgium international who admits that the sort of assist De Bruyne provided was something he has done to pretty much everyone in the world.

“Kevin De Bruyne has found an amazing pass and the movement of Sergio Aguero, he’s done that to everyone in Europe and the world, it’s a great finish.

“I’ve got nothing but an enormous amount of pride for my team, we went toe-to-toe with them.

“When opportunities arise you have to show a little bit of quality and we didn’t do that sadly. Games like this are what we’re here for, we’ve worked really hard to get here, we want no regrets and I don’t think there were any tonight.

“When teams come here, we want to make sure they go through the mixer to get a result and I do believe Pep, his staff, the players and the fans will believe it’s been a difficult night for them.”
