The English right-back changed the environment this summer, moving from rainy London to sunny Spain.
Trippier is having a good start at Atletico Madrid.
After rigorous physical training at the beginning of the season, Trippier looks set to have his best season ever.
Simeone decided on using Trippier as a creative outlet from the right flank.
Along with Lodi on the left, Trippier is charged with bombing the right side, with midfielders covering for them once they move forward.

This system is quite similar to Klopp’s in Liverpool, at least its basic idea where the German uses Robertson and Alexander-Arnold to create danger.
This tactics seem to be working for Simeone, as was shown in two big matches against Juventus and Real Madrid, which both ended in a draw.
Trippier talked to BT Sport about the change of environment, saying:
“Obviously I was very excited when I first signed here.
“I know a lot about Atletico through watching them over the years.
“Obviously, the coaching staff; Cholo [Simeone], the way he sets his team up and you can just see from the outside that the players work so hard for the mangaer. And I wanted to be a part of this.”
Trippier is becoming more than just “a part of this”, as the whole of Spain is impressed with Englishman’s technique and finesse with the ball.
“I’ve always wanted to play abroad just to experience something different, and the time was now.
“It was a great opportunity for me to come to such a big club. Champions League football, the players that I’ve got here.
“It’s just an amazing club and I’ve seen how close everybody is at Atletico and I’m happy to be a part of it.”
Trippier continued his praise of Simeone, adding:
“I’ve watched Atletico in the Champions League over the years and sometimes in La Liga, and the players they have here and also Cholo – a world class manager and everybody knows that.
“To learn from him and play for him: I said in many interviews last season I need to improve my defending and there’s no better person to learn from.”
The right-back also said that there was no doubt about coming to Madrid once the opportunity arrived:
“To be honest, when Atletico were interested, I didn’t have to think twice. I spoke to a few people back at Tottenham about the opportunity to play in Spain, in La Liga, and to come to Atletico, I jumped straight at it.”
