The 28-year-old has only made 10 appearances this season, and he has only started on three of those occasions, which is worrisome for the German boss.
On 13 July 2018, the Reds signed Shaqiri on a five-year deal after triggering his £13.5 million release clause from Stoke City.
But in two seasons in the English Premier League, he has only played 40 matches, scoring seven goals.
That is why Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is worried.
“It is not cool, absolutely not cool but maybe there are different reasons,” said the Liverpool manager according to The Mirror.
“He is a very special player in different departments. His physique is different from all others I ever saw, his muscles are unbelievable.”
“So far it was never big but it was always enough to get him out, I can imagine that is frustrating, it is frustrating for him and not good for us,” he added.
“We work on that. We don’t want to bring in a situation where it constantly happens but so far we didn’t find 100 percent the solution for it so we have to see.”
