After Liverpool’s first pre-season victory at Prenton Park, Jurgen Klopp revealed that the Reds won’t go crazy during the transfer window.

Liverpool’s pre-season started today with a smashing 6-0 victory against Tranmere at Prenton Park, manager Jurgen Klopp spoke after the game.

The German manager analyzed the performance of his players and underlined the two goals that youngster Rhian Brewster scored during the match.

Just like we spoke in recent articles, Liverpool’s best way to get a more positive result next season will be to maintain the harmony they currently have.

The boss has always allowed his younger players from the academy to prove themselves, Brewster is the latest example of this.

The young 19-year old appeared in the pre-season ready for action while still wearing his Champions League medal earlier this month.

He is an English striker who has the potential to someday take Roberto Firmino’s spot up front.

The kid showed his skills to score goals in the heart of the box, he is a natural born centre-forward with impressive qualities.

Jurgen Klopp spoke wonders about him after the match, he also revealed that Liverpool won’t sign too many players during this transfer window.

The only signing they made so far is Dutch centre-back Sepp van den Berg, who is only 17 years old.

“We brought them already. Oxlade-Chamberlain, Rhian Brewster, they didn’t play last year. All the young boys today, they’re all new players for us,” said Klopp via Sky Sports after the victory.

“The transfer market is open I don’t know exactly until when, when does it finish? [Interviewer: August 8].”

“August 8! This wonderful country, the whole of Europe had the idea to close the transfer window early and the only country who did it was England finally. So we close it three weeks before the others.”

“We will see what we do, but I don’t think it will be the biggest transfer window of all time. I love the boy, he is a fantastic player but one of the goals I would have scored,” added Klopp.

“We knew Rhian was a good player before. Why should I play it down? I just don’t want to talk after a game about the guy who scored two goals.”

“I saw a really good game and Rhian is a fantastic player. 100 per cent [it is a big season] but it depends on him as well. Divock Origi stays which is good news, Bobby Firmino is still there.”

“Rhian Brewster is a top striker, he is a top talent and I have told him already that he has an important role this year but how important depends on him.”

“We will see. He has to play different positions as well – the centre, wing is possible I think, we will see how we line up, but there will be opportunities for him. I am sure.”

Klopp is not looking for a specific player on the market.

Given that results came wonderfully last season, Jurgen Klopp isn’t expecting to sign any players during the transfer window.

There is the possibility of possibly getting another midfielder who can help Fabinho in his position, but the Reds still haven’t looked at many options for the squad.

The Reds have reportedly missed out on signing Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid, as both clubs from North London are currently going at it to sign this player.

Klopp’s statement also confirms that Liverpool might not go after Philippe Coutinho during the transfer window, the Brazilian hoped the Reds could make an effort to recover him but that chance is completely gone.

Even though they won’t be getting any new talent for the new season, nobody doubts that Liverpool will be one of the most competitive squads in European football.

However, we all know that the complete focus will be on winning the Premier League this year.

Klopp is getting his players ready for this incredible challenge, one that won’t be easy. The Reds are ready to make history and win their first-ever Premier League title.
