Jurgen Klopp believes Trent Alexander-Arnold will only improve over the course of his career.
Trent Alexander-Arnold has been brilliant so far in the first half of the season. Apart from drawing plaudits for his performance, Alexander-Arnold also won the Premier League Player of the Month for January.
The 21-year old has been one of the key player’s in Liverpool’s spotless campaign. In 21 league games, he has directly contributed to 11 goals in the league, which is remarkable for a defender. With 9 assists, Alexander-Arnold also stands as the league’s second-best assist provide, only behind Man City’s Kevin De Bruyne.
And Jurgen Klopp feels that the full-back will only see a growth in his performance.
“The games he played will make him better, the experience he had will make him better, his teammates will make him better,” Klopp said as per Goal.
“Being around these boys made him better and will make him better. His game understanding will improve – it’s already really good but it will get better, that’s a natural thing. Apart from injuries, I can’t see anything that can stop him because his attitude and his private background is just so good. Passionate yes, very, but calm as well.
“A lot of good things came together and now we have this kind of player – long, long, long may it continue.”
