Jurgen Klopp has expressed his condolence to Unai Emery following his discharge from Arsenal.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said that he did not expect to see Unai Emery walk away from the Emirates. The German provided his support to the former Arsenal manager and wished him the best for the future.
In a report by Metro, Jurgen Klopp also praised Unai Emery for his successful stints at Paris Saint-Germain and Sevilla.
“I was surprised, I got up this morning and saw the news,” Klopp said.
“What can I say? That’s how the football world is, I have no inside info, have no clue what exactly happened there.
“Obviously the board decided they were not happy with the results, the performances. In the end, they have to make decisions, it’s our life. That’s what happens the moment you sign a contract,” he reminded.
“We have to make the best of the situation at a club when people think it’s not the best that’s a possible solution.
“Obviously it happened to Unai. I wish him all the best. He’s an outstanding manager, he showed that in so many different countries and different leagues.
“He will be fine in the future, I’m sure he had big ambitions for Arsenal and it didn’t work out. Now Arsenal have to find a solution,” Jurgen Klopp insisted.
