According to the Atletico Madrid player, his side doesn’t play Spanish or Italian style, but a style of their own.

Juventus Giorgio Chiellini suggested that Atletico Madrid have an Italian style of football.

But according to Los Colchoneros player Koke, this is far from the truth.

“We play with the style of Atletico Madrid, not with another style,” he told the media according to Marca.

“Maybe Chiellini has a point, but we have our identity and we think about the day-to-day work.”

“We approach all matches like finals,” he said.

“This is another football match and we’ll compete as we always do.”

Juventus will visit Wanda Metropolitano stadium tomorrow, as part of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 series.

“It doesn’t matter who we’re playing, we’ll approach this like a final,” Koke continued.

“We are only thinking about this last 16 tie being on the line, as there is a long way to go in the season.”

“I am here for everything and to help out where it’s needed,” he said.

“I’ve always said that I am here to help the team.”

Atletico Madrid is currently in the second position of the Spanish La Liga table with 47 points.

They are seven points behind leaders Barcelona. Los Colchoneros have won 13 out of their 24 matches, tying eight of them and losing in three occasions.

They are just two points ahead of third-place Real Madrid.
