According to the Manchester City footballer, the lost against Tottenham Hotspur didn’t teach them anything they didn’t know before.

Manchester City lost 1-0 against Tottenham Hotspur in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League Quarterfinals just last week.

And this week the team is set to play against the Spurs once again in the second leg.

According to City’s footballer Vincent Kompany, there were no lessons to be learned against Tottenham, as they already know what to do to obtain a victory.

“What football has taught me in the past is that on the back of such performances and disappointments come the best moments of your life, and your career,” he told The Daily Star.

“When you play Tottenham – or any top six team – they have such a vast squad, such a wealth of talent.”

“If you take one player out, you might lose something but the new player will bring something entirely different to the table,” he added.

“To focus on that … none of us will do that. We are all pretty clear what we need to do.”

The Giallorossi ended up tying 1-1 against Inter Milan in the Italian Lega Serie A as they continue in the fifth position.
