With Manchester United interested for quite some time, Kalidou Koulibaly says that he has no idea what the future holds for him.

Following some consistent displays in Europe, Kalidou Koulibaly has carved a reputation for himself as one of the best defenders in the continent. Indeed, the Senegal international has been a commanding presence for Napoli over the years.

Such mature displays have naturally alerted some of the best clubs in the Old Continent. For almost 12 months, the towering centre-back is being monitored by Manchester United. The Red Devils are in dire need of a really commanding presence at the heart of defense. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s sees the Senegal man as the idea player to do that.

Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City are also interested in the defender who has now hinted that he isn’t too sure about his future. And while Napoli are going to ask for a fortune, most top clubs wouldn’t mind paying that.

While speaking to Italy Sports Press, Koulibaly said that he is only focused on the African Cup of Nations right now.

“Everyone is talking about me, but I’m only thinking about Senegal because this is my goal now. I want to achieve something great with my national team. If a stay at Napoli? I don’t know, I think so. I don’t want to talk about my future. I prefer to talk about Senegal.”

However, it is clear that once the African Cup of Nations reaches its conclusion, Koulibaly would be making a decision about his future. While Napoli have been the strongest team in Italy behind Juventus in recent years, silverware has eluded them.

And as one of the brightest players in Europe at the moment, Koulibaly would eventually consider making a swap.

Manchester United on the other hand, might be eager to breaking the bank if that’s what it takes to sort out their defensive ailings.
