Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly will reportedly attempt to force his way out of the Italian club to and sign for Manchester United, according to Sports Mole.

The Senegal international is believed to be a target for both the United and Real Madrid, despite Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis ruling out his departure.

Laurentiis claimed earlier this season that a £95m bid from the Red Devils was turned down during the summer transfer window, but United’s interest remains solid.

Reports in the Italian press suggest, the Premier League giants may be helped in their pursuit of Koulibaly as he now wants out of the Serie A after being targeted by racist chants during his side’s 1-0 defeat to Inter Milan at the San Siro.

Matic promises a new Manchester United after the break

For Nemanja Matic, the international break will help them get back on track and get to a better position in the table.

The racism row has escalated, with right-wing politician Matteo Salvini insisting that the 27-year-old was wrong to suggest the Napoli team have the right to work off the pitch if he is subjected to more verbal abuse from fans because of his skin colour.

Koulibaly is rumoured to be more open to leaving the Stadio San Paolo more than ever before, and it is claimed that United may now go all out to land their top defensive target.
