Kalidou Koulibaly insists he is fully focused on playing for Napoli at the moment but has failed to rule out a potential exit.
It is of no surprise that the future of Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly has constantly been a hot topic among the transfer rumors section, for he is one of the finest defenders on the planet.
Some reports claim Liverpool are looking to pair Koulibaly with Virgil van Dijk while others state Pep Guardiola identifies him as a solution to Manchester City’s defensive woes.
The 29-year-old is at the peak of his career and it is believed that he would be open to taking a new challenge abroad.
Koulibaly, however, remains loyal to current employers. Earlier, he announced that he had no intention of parting ways with Napoli.
He recently cast doubts over his future but suggested that if it were up to him, he would stay at Stadio San Paolo ‘for life.’
“Winning the Scudetto with Napoli would be special, we will see the next season,” Koulibaly told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“I would love to stay at Napoli for life, but I can’t make any promises. I am part of the project and at the end of the season, I will speak to the directors. Right now, my mind is 100% on the pitch.”
