Germany has booked their place in the EURO 2020 after winning against Belarus.

Scoreline: Germany 4-0 Belarus
Goalscorers: Ginter, Goretzka, Kroos (x2)

Along with a win, Germany needed the Netherlands to avoid defeat against Northern Ireland to qualify for the upcoming Euro. Luckily for them, both the conditions were satisfied.

Germany looked in the mood as they comfortably handled their tie against Belarus.

The Germans looked dangerous from the start and began circling the opponent’s penalty box as soon as the game began. But the Belarus defenders kept chasing Joachim Low’s men away.

Die Mannschaft got their opening goal very late in the first half. Gnarby, before twisting and turning in front of the opponents, fired a low cross in the box. His cross met Ginter who made sure his team go into half time with an advantage.

For the second goal, Low’s men did not have to wait as long as their first. Just four minutes from the start of the second half, Kroos let a low ball from the corner in the box. Goretzka applied just the right touch to slot it home.

Eventually, as they always do, Germany started running the game according to their own script. They added their third before the Belarus players had even taken to their formation. And this time, it was the maestro himself. Toni Kroos brilliantly controlled the ball in the box and tapped it in to leave the keeper staring.

Belarus got their chance to break Neuer’s clean sheet when they were awarded a penalty. But the Bayern number-1 denied them that too.

At the 83rd minute, Kroos added his second and Germany’s final goal to rub salt in Belarus’ wound.
