Parma boss Roberto D’Aversa has challenged Dejan Kulusevski to do more and prove why Juventus were right to go all out for his signature.
Juventus have already signed Dejan Kulusevski but as part of the deal, he will stay at Parma on loan for the rest of the season.
The Swedish international is proving his worth in the Serie A and is already regarded as one of the league’s best young prospects.
Juventus agreed a deal worth up to €44m for Kulusevski and many have questioned if the 20-year-old would be able to justify that transfer fee.
The youngster failed to make an impact as his side played to a 1-1 draw with Torino yesterday. Parma boss Roberto D’Aversa has challenged the midfielder to show why Juventus battled with a host of sides to land his signature.
“I talked to him. Although he’s very young, he’s very mature and respectful,” Roberto said in an interview quoted by Football-Italia.
“Like Dejan, there are other players on loan. The difference in what he earns between this season and next could weigh heavily on him.
“What he has to do now is show that Juventus were right to invest in him. He has the maturity of a top player.”
Kulusevski chose Juventus because he believed his style of play would seamlessly fit with that of the Turin outfit.
