Kylian Mbappé reveals the player he admires the most

On his 20th birthday, Kylian Mbappé offered an interview in which he revealed which historic player is the quintessential role model in his career.

French wonder kid Kylian Mbappé turns 20 years old today, he is no longer a teenage football player and has lived an accelerated rise to stardom in the last couple of years.

This massive event in his life has meant so much to a lot of people who are already in love with his talent, the only player who can be compared to Pele when it comes to reaching a World Cup milestone and is also a champion with his beloved France.

Twenty years from today, we all hope that Kylian Mbappé is everything we imagine and even more because if that happens, we will have witnessed one of the best players in football history. Fingers crossed.

As a way of celebrating such an accomplished life at such a young age, Le Parisien conducted an interview with the young star to talk about his accomplishments and which role models he has in his life.

It was interesting to know which historic player is his main role model, and how much he would’ve loved to play alongside him.

“Turning 20 changes nothing. My best birthday so far was when I turned 14. I remember that I practiced at Real Madrid for a full week,” said Mbappé during the interview.

“I was lucky enough to meer Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo. I saw all the Real Madrid players. It was awesome.”

“My biggest wish is to win the Champions League with PSG this season. I had many idols like LeBron James or Roger Federer.”

“I was a real fan of Cristiano Ronaldo when I was a teenager, I used to imitate his signature moves.”

“I also had the chance to meet many of the France National Team like Zinedine Zidane or Thierry Henry. I obviously would’ve loved to play alongside ‘Zizou’, that’s easy,” he concluded.
