Real Madrid move one step closer to the title

An 88th-minute equalizer from Iago Aspas stunned Barcelona at the Balaidos Stadium on Saturday afternoon, paving the way for Real Madrid to go two points clear on the top of La Liga.

The Whites, of course, welcomed the gift with open hands and defeated Espanyol 1-0 thanks to a goal from Casemiro the following day.

They now have the right to drop points once in the remainder of the season and still keep their lead on the league standings.

Barcelona, on the other hand, simply have to beat Atletico Madrid tonight if they want to keep their hopes alive for a third consecutive La Liga crown.
