Check out our preview of the 36th La Liga round as we list the most interesting games from the upcoming weekend.

Spanish La Liga has its 36th Matchday on the schedule this weekend, starting from Saturday with the game between Osasuna and Celta Vigo.

With the title race and fight for the Champions League yet to be decided, the upcoming weekend might get a much clearer picture of the final standings in the 2019-20 campaign.

We’ve listed the three games that we consider most interesting from the following action of top-flight Spanish football.

Valladolid vs Barcelona

Barcelona visit the club of their former striker – Ronaldo in the 36th La Liga round, on Saturday evening.

The Catalans relegated city rivals Espanyol with a 1-0 victory back on Wednesday – their back-to-back win, after two consecutive draws in the past week.

Every game is a must-win for Leo Messi and Co. until the end of the season if they want to have a chance to get their hands on the La Liga crown for a third year in succession.

Atletico Madrid vs Real Betis

Atletico Madrid welcome Real Betis to the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium later that evening, knowing a win would confirm their place in the Champions League next season.

The Colchoneros are six points ahead of Villarreal and have a better head-to-head record with only three games to go until the end of the 2019-20 campaign.

Speaking of the Champions League, Atletico were drawn with RB Leipzig in the quarter-finals of the competition and will face either PSG or Atalanta in a potential semi-final encounter.

Granada vs Real Madrid

League leaders Real Madrid visit Granada in the final game of the round, on Monday evening.

The Whites first have to do their job in the 35th round though, as they host Alaves tonight at 22:00 (CET).

Victory in both games could even seal the title for Zinedine Zidane’s boys, if Barcelona fail to beat Valladolid tomorrow afternoon.
