Check out our preview of the 37th La Liga Matchday, as we list the three most interesting games to watch in the penultimate round.
The 2019-20 La Liga campaign will officially end this week, as we have the last two rounds on the program on Thursday and Sunday.
All 10 games of Gameweek 37 will be played tomorrow, with nine of them scheduled at the same time (in 21:00 CET).
Check out which three games are the most interesting in our opinion below in this article.
Real Madrid vs Villarreal
Spain might get its new football champions tomorrow if Real Madrid beat Villarreal at the Alfredo di Stefano Stadium.
The Whites have a four-point advantage ahead of Barcelona prior to the penultimate round and need only two points to secure their record 34th La Liga title.
They’ve won all nine league outings since the return of top-flight Spanish football and need only one more to officially end Barcelona’s two-year domination.
Barcelona vs Osasuna
Barcelona welcome Osasuna at the same time, knowing only a victory could keep their hopes for a third consecutive La Liga crown alive before the last round of the season on Sunday evening.
The Catalans have won their last three games in top-flight, following three draws in four matches in late June.
Osasuna is also on a good run, having won in four of their last six outings in Spanish Primera Division. They’ve moved up to the 11th place and are now chasing finish in the top half of the table.
Real Sociedad vs Sevilla
Real Sociedad welcome Sevilla in San Sebastian, as they are looking to book their place in the Europa League next season.
The White and Blues are heading into the penultimate round of the 2019-20 campaign on the back of a 2-1 victory over Villarreal, which actually helped Sevilla to officially secure Champions League football next term.
Los Palanganas are unbeaten since the return of La Liga and are currently on a four-game winning run as they travel to the Basque Country tomorrow evening.
