While there were fears that he would jump ship this summer, Alexandre Lacazette is not looking for a move according to his agent.

Arsenal fans can heave a huge sigh of relief after it was confirmed that striker Alexandre Lacazette isn’t looking to force a move away from the Emirates. The France international was in blazing form alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The latter has been linked with a move to Manchester United but Lacazette is staying put.

For a few weeks, Lacazette’s future has been a major source of debate with the striker linked with a move to Spain. However, it appears that there was no truth behind those rumors after the player’s agent held a meeting with the Arsenal hierarchy.

As reported by the Express, the agent had discussions with the club but it wasn’t about the player’s sale. In fact, the discussions were based around the club’s plans for next season.

Under contract until 2022, Alexandre Lacazette scored 19 goals in 49 games last season. He combined with devastating effect with Aubameyang as the pair scored 50 goals. And Lacazette and the Gabon striker share a bond outside the pitch as well.

The France international says that the former Borussia Dortmund striker has always enjoyed a great relationship with him.

“He is like my brother, every day we talk, we love to work together and today in front of the goal and we score, for us, two goals, which is good.”

“We have the same vision about football when we talk in the dressing room, the same ideas and the same feelings.

“The fact that we understand each other is the thing that makes the difference in the games.”

And though Aubameyang may consider a move away from Arsenal, the presence of his strike partner may change things, much to the pleasure of the club’s fans.
