With the club unable to make any movements this summer, Alexandre Lacazette says that the club needs to secure top four finish above everything else.

Alexandre Lacazette on a personal level, had a great Premier League campaign. In a campaign where the team struggled for form and consistency, the Frenchman was finding the back of the net consistently.

A Europa League final win over Chelsea would have secured a place in the Champions League but the Gunners lost that match to their London rivals in Baku. Lacazette won player of the season award for the club but feels that in order to win trophies, the club needs to improve as a whole.

While speaking to FourFourTwo, the former Lyon striker said that the club needs to play in the Champions League on a regular basis. Lacazette also said that winning major trophies comes only after the team starts making regular appearances in the Champions League.

He told FourFourTwo: “A club like Arsenal has to be playing in the Champions League every season. We will start to think about winning the biggest titles in a few seasons, but first we need to make sure we are in the Champions League consistently again.”

And Aubameyang agrees. The Gabon striker says that to be in the top four should be the club’s main target for next season. The striker admitted that the club’s illustrious history urges it to win trophies in the near future.

“That has to be the main target of every Arsenal season. You come back to training and that’s what everyone is thinking about.

“We’re hungry to hear that song once again. It’s time. We have the quality to do it, so we have to make sure we will do it.

“It’s so important to win something. This is a great club, which has a very long history of winning important trophies, so it’s time we won something big again.”
