Mikel Arteta brought some big spirit to Arsenal since arriving given that the Gunners look much better than they did before his arrival.
Arteta’s Arsenal played a very poor first half against Leeds tonight.
However, everything changed in the second where the Gunners came out flying.
According to Alexandre Lacazette, Arteta’s half-time talk turned things around.
“He shouted quite a lot. He was not happy because we knew they were going to play like this and we didn’t respect what he said.
“For the second half it was better and thank you to Reiss for the goal,” the Frenchman said, quoting Arsenal’s official website.
Lacazette then added:
“As a coach I think you need to have the aggressive side and he’s loving as well. In training he’s always asking us to press with passion and play with purpose and I think we played out wide and in the middle and it’s all going on.”
Looks like Arteta is establishing authority quickly at Arsenal.
He will need it as the North-Londoners fight for the Champions League spots in heavy competition.
