Arsenal got out of the Southampton clash with just a point, but it could’ve been a lot worse for the Gunners if not for Alexandre Lacazette.
Arsenal manager faced a lot of pressure coming into the match today.
However, things won’t get easier for Unai Emery.
Even though Arsenal played at home, they had to chase the lead twice.
Danny Ings shocked the Emirates by scoring early on. However, just ten minutes later, Alexandre Lacazette tied the score.
Throughout the match, Southampton created more and even ended with more shots on target.
This materialized in the 71st minute when James Ward-Prowse converted a penalty to make it 2-1.
However, Lacazette saved the team once again, this time in the dying minutes of the match.
Even though they salvaged a point, the Gunners won’t be happy with the outcome.
Bad results keep on mounting, and it looks like it’s a matter of time before Emery is out of the door.
