Pep Guardiola and Manchester City fell into a bit of a crisis in results this season as the Citizens are far away from defending the league title.

The latest loss to Manchester United just confirmed Guardiola’s suspicions.

The Spaniard was disappointed and reflected on the fact his team might not be good enough.

“That is the level we face against Liverpool, Manchester United, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus.

“They are the teams we have to face and the reality is maybe we are not able now to compete with them,” he commented, according to Givemesport,

“Maybe we need to live that as a club to improve, to accept the reality now and improve.”

Improve or not, City have to act quickly.

The Champions League success is still on the cards, but they’ll need a lot more than what they’re showing at the moment.
