Frank Lampard is expecting Chelsea to warmly welcome Carlo Ancelotti at the Stamford Bridge in the upcoming match against Everton.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has praised his former boss Carlo Ancelotti for his considerate mannerisms.

Under Ancelotti’s management and the then skipper Lampard, the Blues won the domestic double of a Premier League title and the FA Cup back in the 200-10 season.

Despite the success in what was his first season at Chelsea, the Italian was sacked after guiding them to a second-place finish in the following season.

Frank Lampard has had the better of one of his former coaches during their victory against Tottenham two weeks ago. And he will once again have a face-off with another one of his managers when Chelsea face Everton in the Premier League tomorrow.

When asked by Sky Sports what sort of reception Ancelotti will get on his return to the Stamford Bridge, Lampard replied:

“A very good one. He is very well respected in-house and by the fans.

“He is a gentleman, a fantastic manager. It was a good season under him. He is a great man-manager. On a personal level, he’s great at striking up relationships. He’s good tactically and has a great manner.

“I kept in touch with him now and again.”
