Frank Lampard has disclosed that Chelsea are ready to see out Oliver Giroud in January.
Under Frank Lampard, Oliver Giroud has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea. The Frenchman has made played five games so far this season and has struggled to find his form.
As a result, Giroud has been looking to find his way out of the Stamford Bridge in order to find more playing time. As reports suggest, he is longing to reunite with his former manager Antonio Conte and could be on his way to Inter.
Frank Lampard has no intention to keep the 34-year old. As the club’s website reports, the Chelsea boss suggested that there were ongoing talks and, if things go as planned, Giroud could leave Chelsea in January.
“If everything is right it might happen but it’s not, so whilst it’s not he’s our player,” said Lampard.
“And the great thing about Ollie is that he’s got great experience and professionalism, and he’s been nothing but great with us.
“There is nothing imminent. There aren’t people waiting in the wings that I don’t know about, or you don’t know about. So, there’s no news on that front,” Lampard added.
“I’m not going to be embarrassed by anything happening soon. There’s nothing.
