Diego Godin is confident that Lautaro Martinez can prolong his career with the help of his outstanding qualities.
Having scored 16 goals from 31 matches in all competitions this season, Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez is enjoying an impressive breakthrough season so far.
The 21-year old’s exploits have caught the attention of some of the big names in Europe. And Barcelona, who are eager to find a replacement for an aging Luis Suarez, appear to have the upper hand.
Although it is not official yet, Lautaro’s agent earlier also confirmed the Catalans’ interest in him.
“Lautaro is similar to Luis [Suarez] and Sergio Aguero,” Godin told ESPN.
“He’s learning to play using his whole body, with his back to the ball. He’s a football player.
“His confidence has a high ceiling and he’s maturing with every match. You can spot things in him that tells you he’ll be around for 10 or 15 years.”
