Samir Nasri is a free agent at the moment and Le Havre are keen on bringing him to Normandy despite interest from Anderlecht.
At present, Samir Nasri is free to do what he wishes. Unattached and looking to play somewhere, the former France international still has time to resurrect his career at the age of 32. And it appears that Le Havre are keen on bringing the winger to Stade Oceane.
As reported by Paris Normandie, the club is keen on enticing the former Arsenal man. And the club’s coach, Paul Le Guel is desperate to sign the experienced winger. The club’s president, Pierre Wantiez says that the club can offer Samir Nasri a lucrative package like the ones he has been offered by teams in Dubai and Australia.
“He’s a player Paul appreciates. At the moment, only Paul is talking with him. The player hasn’t closed the door. Does he want to come to Le Havre? What is certain is that it would not be a financial blow for him. I know he has received some very lucrative offers elsewhere. What choice will he make? The ball is in his court.”
Free agent following the end of his contract at West Ham, Le Havre could prove to be a great option for Samir Nasri. The Frenchman still has a lot to give and Le Guen believes that the player should take his time rather than commit and regret it later.
However, Anderlecht are also keen on signing him. The club’s player manager, Vincent Kompany is keen on bringing his former teammate to Belgium. Reports claim that Samir Nasri is in Brussels to negotiate a deal with the Belgian giants.
This definitely means that Le Havre could find it difficult to sign a player they want since Anderlecht can guarantee the player European football as well next season.
