Chelsea legend Joe Cole insists his old side led by Frank Lampard will finish in the top four with Leicester more likely to drop-out than his old club.
Joe Cole is backing his old teammate and current Chelsea boss Frank Lampard to keep his old team in the Champions League places.
The retired England midfielder feels Lampard has built a strong enough Chelsea team to hang on and maybe climbing a spot up the table.
While Cole is not righting off United’s chances of Champions League football. He feels that id they benefit from anyone slipping up it will be an inexperienced Leicester side.
Speaking to 90min, he said:
“I’m going to stick with the four teams that are there.”
“But I think Man Utd will push all the way.”
“I don’t think Chelsea will fall, Frank will have enough.”
“I think Leicester could fall because of their lack of experience, as a club at the top, top echelons.”
“I know they won the league a few years ago, but I think if you’re going to ask if any of the teams would fall out, I think possibly it could be Leicester.”
“I think Chelsea will be fine, I think Frank will be fine.”
Cole is not the only one backing Lampard.
