Bayern Leverkusen are aware of the interest Kai Havertz is generating and have resigned that he is ready to move forward in his career.

A string of outstanding performances since the return of Bundesliga to add to an already remarkable season has seen the stocks of Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz rise up significantly in the past few weeks.

Racking up 11 goals and five assists so far, Havertz has been heavily linked with a big-money transfer away from BayArena this summer.

Chelsea and Bayern Munich are said to be the principal candidates among those taking interest in the talented midfielder, although the list of his admirers is quite lengthy.

Speaking to Kolner Stadt Anzeiger, CEO Fernando Carro did acknowledge the rumors surrounding the future of the Havertz but insists nothing has been made certain yet.

“I can see that many clubs are interested in him,” Carro told.

“Kai has been with us for 10 years. I see the wish of the player to take his next step sometime in the near future, which you have to respect. Just as you have to respect the fact that he has a contract with us until 2022.

“You have to try to find a solution where the player’s goal can be reconciled with ours. At the moment nobody can say for sure what will happen.”
