Timo Werner has claimed that Robert Lewandowski is on the same page as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Robert Lewandowski is having the time of his life this season. The Polish international seems to have made a vow to score every time he steps on the pitch. In just 11 games, Lewandowski has scored 16 goals for Bayern.
RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner is in awe of the Poland number-9. The German feels Lewandowski is on the same level as superstars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. And that’s the greatest compliment a player of this generation can get.
Talking to the reporters, Timo Werner expressed his admiration for the Bayern forward. The 23-year old explained the tenacity of goal scoring saying that it is very hard to keep up with Robert Lewandowski.
“It’s hard [to be top-scorer],” Timo Werner said.
“When you score two goals against Hertha Berlin and then watch the game evening game, having scored four or three goals less than Robert Lewandowski this season, and he scores twice against Borussia Dortmund…
“Against whom is he not going to score? That’s very hard.
