Lewandowski is one of the world’s best strikers but has also named five other players who are the best in the striking department.

Almost everyone would name Lewandowski in a list with the top five strikers in world football right now.

But in a list without the 31-year-old, what could those five names be like?

Lewandowski had the honor of making the list himself but with a catch. The Bayern forward was told not to include the magnificent duo of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Pressed on the names he’ll pick, here’s what the Poland international had to say.

“It’s not a simple question,” Lewandowski told Bild, who asked him to name the world’s top five strikers.

“If we’re talking about strikers as pure No.9s, like the classic centre-forward, I’d pick Karim Benzema, Timo Werner, Luis Suarez, [Sergio] Aguero and Kylian Mbappe.”

Lewandowski also spoke on Haaland but believes the youngster still needs time to get to the very top.

“He has great potential, but he still has a lot of time to grow,” Lewandowski continued.

“I don’t want to put pressure on him with my comments.

“If he works hard he will become an even better player, and why not become the best striker in the world one day.
