Defender Lewis Dunk said the Seagulls, who defeated the Red Devils at home earlier in the season, left Old Trafford proud.
Chris Hughton’s men battled hard for an equaliser in the second half and Dunk believs that it was the excellent performance they put in the second half was what gave them the win at Old Trafford.
“We were all disappointed at the break and the manager spoke to us about that,” said Dunk via Mirror
“We reacted well and that’s the positive to take.
“I thought we were excellent in the second half and if we’d played like that in the first then we could have easily got something.
“We felt we had to score next and we did, it gave us a boost, but it just wasn’t meant to be for us.
“Last year we felt as though we didn’t perform against the top sides, but this season we’ve been in all the games and performed well.”
