Following some sensational displays in Ligue 1 for Les Dogues, Rafael Leao is going to be a difficult player to hold on to with interest increasing.

Rafael Leao has definitely proven to many that he is going to be a huge star in the future. The young forward is just 20 but his performances will have you believe that he’s 24 or 25.

While speaking to reporters, Luis Campos, the club’s coach admitted that his starlet is getting a lot of interest from teams. However, the tactician says that the club is in no mood to sell.

“Rafael Leao has a lot of suitors but our goal is not to sell him. However, there are sometimes offers that cannot be refused. His future? We’ll see,” Campos said according to Foot Mercato.

Campos also says that the youngster’s potential hasn’t been seen properly and advised the player to stay on for some time before leaving.

“Rafael Leao’s potential has only been exploited at 15 to 20%. If he wants and the structure is ready to support him, we are ready to do it, he can reach the top level. One day, he will leave. Lille is a club that must train and sell. We know that these young people do not want to play all their lives in Lille. But we know that we are an extraordinary stepping stone for these talents.”

The problem for Lille is that Rafael Leao is getting a lot of interest from tons of clubs in Europe including Juventus and Napoli. And even though Lille is the perfect place for the young Portuguese star to develop into an amazing player, the allure of joining a more illustrious club would be too hard to turn down.

But Rafael Leao can also take something for Eden Hazard’s career progression who started out at Lille when he was his age and then went on to become one of the biggest stars in the football world.
