Victor Lindelof maintains that he is very happy at Manchester United despite the player’s agent claiming that his client might end up moving to Barcelona.

The Sweden international has been at Old Trafford for the past two years since signing from Benfica. Reports claimed that the defender could end up signing for the La Liga giants.

However, Lindelof says that he is happy at his current club and is not seeking an exit.

During a news conference in Perth, as reported by Goal.com, Lindelof said that he is looking forward to next season with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

“I’m really looking forward to this season. I’m very excited for a new season to start.

“That’s my answer, I’m very happy here.

“I always felt like a Manchester United player but last season was a better season for me, I performed better than I did in my first, pretty.

Report: Alexis Sanchez on his way out

Manchester United's Alexis Sanchez has reportedly agreed terms with Inter Milan. According to sources from Football Italia, Manchester United striker Alexis Sanchez has agreed terms...

“I’m happy that people think that [I’m the best central defender at the club].

“I’m just trying to do my best every day and that’s what I work hard for every day to help the team and the club.”

While speaking about the new signings, Lindelof says that everyone is helping out the younger batch to get adjusted to the club.

“Well new players, new signings, we as a team will always try to help them to settle in as quickly as possible,” said Lindelof.

“This is my third season here, I’ve been through what it is to sign for this club and get a little criticism.

“But it’s part of the game and, like I said before, everyone in the team is trying to help the new guys.”

Clearly the reports are unfounded since Lindelof seems eager to be a part of the club’s future for at least a few more years.
