When Victor Lindelof penned his new deal at United he admits he didn’t even read the contract because he just wants to stay at the club.

Swedish international Lindelof, took his time to settle at United. But since doing so he has become one of the first names on the team sheet.

Both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his predecessor Jose Mourinho have depended on Lindelof as a center-back.

There was talk of interest from Barcelona, which the player himself quickly ruled out.

He has since signed a new contract to stay at the club until at least 2024.

In a podcast through the club’s official web site manutd.com, the player reveals all about his decision to extend his stay, and the future.

He admits he was so keen to commit his future he didn’t even read the new contact he just asked for the pen and signed.

He said:

“When they offered me a new contract it was very, very easy for me. I never really looked at [the contract]. I just took up the pen and signed it.

The player admits he is loving life at the club and has no intention of leaving. His goal though is to bring back the glory days and some trophies.

He added:

“I know the club can help me and I want to stay here for more years and hopefully we can win some trophies as well.”

“That’s my main goal.”
