According to the Barcelona superstar, his teammate Ousmane Dembele needs to jump forward in order to get better and shut his critics up.

Barcelona’s player Ousmane Dembele has been heavily criticized by many of his teammates.

Just yesterday Kevin-Prince Boateng referred to him as a “little kid.”

But in an interview with Sport, Lionel Messi has backed his teammate saying he just needs to jump forward in order to get better.

“I believe he’s an impressive talent who can do whatever he wants,” Messi said.

“He is very young and I think this year will be very important for him to make the step up that the whole of the Barcelona fan base wants to see.”

The Blaugrana star explained: “He needs to make that change to be more professional, to put that idea into his head, so he can be a success at Barcelona like he wants to be.”

Argentina and Uruguay engage in a friendly 2-2 draw

Tel Aviv hosted Argentina and Uruguay who faced off in a friendly as a part of preparations for the 2020 Copa America.

“I hope he doesn’t have the bad luck he’s had with injuries.”

“Last year, when we needed him the most, he was injured,” he said.

“Hopefully that doesn’t happen this year and he’s able to show everything he has, which is a lot. As a player, he’s very impressive.”
