This is exactly what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted to hear from his defender Victor Lindelof, “I miss Mourinho.”
Victor Lindelof has revealed he misses his old manager Jose Mourinho.
The interview Lindelof had with Aftonbladet was probably not what Solskajer had expected to hear from one of his first choice center-backs.
Swedish international Lindelof was brought to United by Mourinho, and the player expressed his gratitude for the opportunity.
But rather than go on to commend his new manager on the job he is doing and perhaps brag on his partnership with Harry Maguire, the former Benfica man went on a trip down memory lane with Mourinho.
“He is, after all, one of the world’s best coaches and he is supposed to have a job at one of the biggest clubs.”
“I miss him in football.”
“I owe a great deal. It was he who gave me the chance here, who brought me into everything.”
