Liverpool recorded yet another close victory against Brighton to continue their unbeaten run in the Premier League.

Scoreline: Liverpool 2-1 Brighton
Goalscorers: Van Dijk (x2) | Dunk

Liverpool entered the match after avoiding a defeat in their last 30 Premier League games.

The Reds were able to score inside the first twenty minutes. Trent Alexander-Arnold registered his fifth assist of the season after Virgil van Dijk headed the ball in the net following his freekick.

Just six minutes later, Liverpool doubled their lead. And once again it was the combination of Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold, only from a corner this time. Brighton defenders were unable to mark the Dutchman as he rose to meet the fullback’s ball. As a result, Liverpool went 2-0 up.

Jurgen Klopp suffered a blow as he saw his goalkeeper Alisson get sent off. The Brazilian tried to stop the ball while being outside his box that forced the referee to show a red card.

Brighton were able to score a goal that only proved to be a consolation. Substitute goalkeeper Adrian was not paying attention as Lewis Dunk scored from the freekick.

Liverpool are now unbeaten in their last 31 Premier League games. The Reds acheived a similar feat during their run from 1987 to 1988.
