Everton winger Ademola Lookman was delighted with his performance in last weekend’s 2-0 win over Bournemouth
The 21-year-old was handed only his second start in the Premier League this season on Sunday as Everton secured a badly needed three points.
Lookman made sure not to waste the opportunity that had been handed to him by producing a Man of the Match performance at Goodison Park, which saw him cap it off by assisting Dominic Calvert-Lewin for Everton’s second goal.
“I am confident and comfortable going out there,” said Lookman, according to Liverpool Echo.
“I am just happy to be involved, I love playing football and it is all I want to do.
“I am always confident in my ability and I was happy to help the team.”
He added: “I saw Dominic running and he likes to score goals so I was delighted to help him.
“The most important thing, though, was to get the three points. It was important to win at home again and that is two in a row now.
“It grows our confidence, it will be another hard week of training and we’ll look forward to next week’s game at Southampton. I am feeling stronger all the time.”
Lookman impressed greatly last season on loan at RB Leipzig, who had hoped to sign him for this term as well, with five goals and four assists in 11 Bundesliga games.
