Everton winger Ademola Lookman insists he’s ready to make the most of his opportunities at the club this season, whenever he is called upon by manager Marco Silva.
The Nigerian-born, England U-21 international has only made five Premier League substitute appearances for Everton this season despite putting in a convincing showing while on loan at German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig last season.
On Tuesday, the 21-year-old scored to help the Toffees demolish Gor Mahia at the Goodison Park as they claimed the SportPesa Trophy.
The winger, who is hoping to get more playing time has vowed to seize the opportunities that come his way.
“I always say I’m always in competition with myself to always get better and improve and that’s what I keep doing every single day,” Lookman told Liverpool echo.
“It is a long season so hopefully opportunities [to play] will arise but when it comes I’ll be ready.
“I’m always looking forward, always looking to improve and that’s what I’m going to keep on doing – to always get better as a player and as a person.”
