The former Juventus striker has explained what kind of formation will the team need if they sign Mauro Icardi this summer.
There have been some rumors that Internazionale Milan footballer Mauro Icardi might join Juventus this summer.
The Argentinean footballer has had many problems at the Italian Serie A club and might move to play alongside with Cristiano Ronaldo and Aaron Ramsey.
And according to Luca Toni, there might be a way to play all three players at the same time.
Luca Toni played for Italian Lega Serie A club Juventus in the 2011-2012 campaign.
“Ronaldo and Icardi are two finishers,” the 42-year-old was quoted by Football Italia.
“CR7 is a champion, while Mauro’s a great striker who still has to make that final step-up.”
“You mustn’t give Cristiano because too much to do because he wins you games,” he added.
“Maybe Icardi should make some sacrifices to play with him.”
“Ultimately, it’ll depend on Sarri and the balances he is looking for,” he continued.
“I imagine Ronaldo and Icardi can only play as a pairing in a 4-3-1-2, with maybe Ramsey as the No. 10 behind them.”
