According to the Uruguayan footballer, Neymar wanted to return to Barcelona so bad that he did all he could to get away from Paris Saint-Germain.

Neymar Junior transfer saga was the biggest story of the summer transfer window.

And according to his former Barcelona teammate, Luis Suarez, the Brazilian did all he could to return to the Blaugrana.

“We talked about it at the time when Ney wanted to leave,” he told Sport.

“Everyone knew it. We told Leo: ‘As a player, as a club, and as prizes you go to always have in Barcelona’.”

“But well, those are decisions. At the time he decided that it was the best for him, now the decision was to try to do everything to return. It was difficult but the relationship we had helped a lot,” he explained.

“Yes, we talked there every so often, but lately there was not much talk in the chat. He just spoke again because now he is calmer, it was another difficult moment because he lived something complicated so we respected his space and time.”

He also spoke about his relationship with the Argentinean superstar: “With Messi on the court we know each other without seeing each other.”

“We understand each other wonderfully. When he grabs her, I tear off to one side alone and I know he will throw her there… And he knows that I will go.”

“Sometimes it happens that the rivals believe that I will define after their pass, but I give it back because I know that when they attend, they keep running,” he concluded.
