Chelsea defender David Luiz criticised Burnley’s tactics as his side were held to a frustrating 2-2 draw on home turf.
Maurizio Sarri’s men missed the opportunity to secure the third position as the Clarets forced them to a stalemate.
Chelsea enjoyed a lion share of the possession in the game compared to Burnley’s 24 per cent but still couldn’t notch in the winner as Sean Dyche’s men were resolute in defence.

Frustrations piled up towards the tail end of the game when Burnley resorted to time-wasting and kicking the ball out for throw- in- much to the anguish of David Luiz and the Chelsea bench.
As tempers frayed, Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri was sent to the stands in the final minutes of the match.
He told Sky Sports: “We tried everything to win the game, but it’s difficult playing a team who has two chances, score two goals, but didn’t want to play the game.
“For me, the authority on the pitch is the referee, and when he is not there to try to check what he has to do on the pitch, it’s difficult.
“They were trying to time waste from the first minute of the first half, and then it was anti-football so it’s difficult to play against.”

Up next for the Blues is difficult away tie to Man United at Old Trafford and that promises to be explosive if the Red Devils secure a win in their outstanding game against City on Wednesday.
